Stuttgart, July 26, 2019. For three years, Hoffmann + Krippner has been building up the Connected Devices product area. This division focuses on connecting sensors, input devices, and industrial electronics with cloud platforms and enterprise software. Early on, mobile communications was chosen as the transmission method – in addition to the 2G, 3G, and LTE standards, the energy- and data-efficient variants LTE-M and NB-IoT, as well as LoRa (Long Range Wireless) and BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) as supplements.
The mobile SIM cards and devices, which are functional in all networks throughout Europe, as well as in the USA and Canada, have their own H+K tariff. This can be customized according to specific customer requirements and can be designed as a one-time flat rate and offered as a set with the devices.
Mobile communications as a transmission standard enables plug & play solutions that do not require installation at the deployment site. In the area of cloud connectivity, H+K offers Microsoft Azure systems hosted by Telekom in Germany. Systems such as Amazon Web Service (AWS) and Salesforce Heroku are also possible. A whole range of IoT devices is already available. H+K has centralized this expertise at its locations in Münster (Helicom GmbH) and Paderborn (Robiotic GmbH).
